Woman’s costume
Gathered neck chemise (cămașă încrețită) with sleeves gathered into frilled cuffs, decorated with floral embroidery in a vertical band down the sleeves and a horizontal band on the cuffs. A row of white crochet lace is attached to the cuffs. Hip length sleeveless sheepskin waistcoat (pieptar) edged with fur and decorated with brown geometric embroidery. Narrow front and back aprons (catrințe) made of black velvet and decorated with horizontal and vertical stripes of embroidered motifs in gold and brown thread, and a fringe of black silk on the hem. Red printed floral headscarf.

Man’s costume
White linen straight shirt with yoke (cămașă cu umeraș), with wide bands of brown, and black geometric embroidery on hem and sleeves and fine white crochet lace on lower sleeves, and hem. Tight summer trousers (izmene) made of cotton or linen fabric. Hip length sheepskin jacket (pieptar), edged with fur and decorated with wide bands of geometric embroidery along edges, and coloured woollen tassels on the front. Wide leather belt (chimir) decorated with appliqued beads in floral patterns. Heavy boots (bocanci).
