This zone is also known Bazinul de la Hațeg or simply as Hațeg. The village of Bucova in the upper Bistrei valley is included ^[”1”], although being clearly in the Banat mountain region. Friends from these villages tell us that there is ethnographic overlap between the Hațeg region and Bistrei valley region. The Jiu valley around Petroșani is included in the referenced map ^[”1”], however I have documented this as a separate zone.
